March 13-15 / NY Kampō Internship Program – Module 1
The start of a NY based Kampo Internship program at last! Included a detailed analysis of the history and development of Kampō Medicine from antiquity to the present time and presents the fundamental theoretical foundations that govern its practice as well as preparing the ground for formula study. Fukushin technique & methodology. Off to a great start with this new, very enthusiastic and sizeable group.
February 21-22 / NYKI Constitution Workshop – Santa Fe, NM
A very well-attended 2-day brand new workshop on the topic of constitutional diagnosis and treatment in Kampō. Many experienced practitioners looking to find inspiration in a relatively untaught topic in our medicine. Always a treat to travel out to Santa Fe, especially with such a great crowd.
January 17-18 / Toronto, CA - Introduction to Kampō - Fukushin
An introductory workshop in Fukushin theory and practice also designed as preparation for the full Kampō Internship program. Location: AIM Academy, Toronto, Canada. Great little group in the snowy city.Took my son Jasper and visited Niagara Falls on the way home to NY.
November 14-16 / San Diego Kampo Internship Program - Module 8
Final module of the series with comprehensive materials review, pharmacy management, product presentations and of course GRADUATION!! We all had a great Sunday lunch celebration at Supanee, Trevor’s favorite Thai place in Point Loma.

May 7 - 12 / Kampo Teacher Training Program
We had a wonderful 5-day retreat in upstate NY with 8 Kampō Internship graduates from around the country. The focus was on teacher-training with a view to developing the next generation of Kampō faculty at the NYKI. The retreat culminated in the formation of the NYKI Fellowhip Program (see Fellowship tab under Programs on the drop-down menu).

September 22 / International Symposium for Japanese Kampo Medicine, Oxford, UK
Held in the glorious and prestigious setting of Christchurch College, Oxford, the usual crowd of Japanese and German Kampō medical doctors gathered for a 2-day series of seminars and poster presentations. A great time to geek out with Kampō colleagues!
